Our recent rebranding from SecureKey Concierge to Government Sign-In by Verified.Me* was an extensive process that was done to benefit users even more. Streamlining who we are, what we look like and how we talk about the tools in our digital identity suite means we can better communicate with you – the user. Making your digital life easier and more secure is our goal in everything we do at SecureKey.

When it comes to accessing online government services under this rebrand, nothing changes for you. Government Sign-In by Verified.Me is the same secure sign-in service Canadians know and love and have been relying on for years. If you are not already familiar, it is our longest-standing service and is now used by more than 10 million Canadians from coast to coast. This secure and private sign-in solution facilitates access to hundreds online government services using your online banking credentials from one of our 16 Trusted Sign-in Partners such as BMO, CIBC, Desjardins, National Bank, RBC, Scotiabank, Simplii, Tangerine and TD. This saves you the hassle of an additional login and password and provides easier, more secure access to government services.

Here at SecureKey, your digital security and privacy continues to be a top priority, which is why Government Sign-In by Verified.Me was designed with Triple Blind® capabilities at its core. This ensures that no party in the service – financial institution, government service or network operator – knows where you are signing in from or where you are signing in to.

This rebrand was also done with user feedback in mind, especially in light of the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA)’s Digital Services Enhancements report, which identified the areas of improvement for their digital services. Users said they were pleased with the sign-in partner service and enjoyed the convenience of not needing to remember additional passwords but stated the CRA could better promote services to make accessing information online easier and help Canadians self-serve. We wanted to take a similar user-first approach with this rebrand to ensure Government Sign-In by Verified.Me is as easy as possible for users to find and access online when searching for government sign-in information.

Our primary goal is to make your digital life easier and more secure. The development and ongoing advancement of secure, private and convenient services requires clarity and cohesiveness, and this rebrand brings us one step closer to an improved and more accessible Canadian digital identity landscape – for all of us.
